“By day, I’m a mild-mannered school administrator, but by night, I’m an Iron Chef,” Andy laughed. “There’s nothing I love more than getting home at the end of a long day and tearing it up in the kitchen.”
“He’d love a professional kitchen,” Andy’s partner Jan said. “But I don’t want to walk in here and see a whole bunch of stainless steel and industrial tables and stuff. I want our home to feel like home, not a restaurant.”
Striking a balance between the needs of a serious cook and a family that wants a comfortable kitchen they can also use and enjoy is easier when you work with an experienced kitchen design team. Our process begins with developing an understanding of what you need from your kitchen space. No two serious cooks are alike: the cook who spends all of their time creating one of a kind jams and jellies will need a very different type of kitchen than the dedicated baker or the home sausage maker.
Those serious needs must be met while honoring everyone else’s needs as well. Family friendly features, a layout that reinforces and enhances the beauty of the home, and an ambiance that is warm and welcoming are important. Our team includes architects, designers, and master craftsmen who all work together to create and implement a cohesive plan that’s tailored to your family’s preferences.
