Masters Touch Design Build Core Values
At Masters Touch Design Build, we have a code of conduct called the Core Values. These Core Values are a list that represents what is important to us as a company. When I applied to work at Masters Touch, the Core Values were what drew me in. I could tell this was a company that cares. I encourage everyone to take a look at these Core Values. Some of the values include commitment, integrity, team work—the usual suspects. However, two of the values stand out to me, especially as I write this blog right now.
Balance:
I understand that my family, social, physical, and spiritual life are as important as my Masters Touch life.
This is the value that is allowing me to hop on a plane to Mexico tomorrow morning to get some much needed R&R. Anyone who knows me knows that taking time off is not easy for me. In fact, it is downright hard for me to turn off my work brain. However, I am so fortunate to work for a company that understands the importance of maintaining a healthy work and personal life balance. I am excited to come back to work refreshed and ready to tackle the hefty workload going in to the winter.
Fun:
Work and Life should be FUN! My journey through both should be enjoyable, so I strive to create an atmosphere of fun and happiness so that those around me will enjoy it too!
In regards to fun, I have no doubt in my mind that I will have plenty of fun while on vacation. But, I am happy to say that I have fun in the office every single day. While the days can be filled with stressful design decisions and lengthy production meetings, not a single day goes by that I don’t laugh with my fantastic coworkers when we need to let off steam. The office is certainly filled with high productivity, but once in a while, a fly on the wall could see Perry making fun of my yoga ball office chair, Nancy playing with the mystery orange bird puppet that just appeared in the office one day, or Doug showing us tricks his dogs can do when they visit (yes, we are a dog-friendly office!).
Typically, my blogs are about interior design techniques or kitchen design trends. But today, I wanted to introduce you to some of the background of Masters Touch. We are more than the dozens of yard signs with our recognizable logo we are known for. We are more than our reputation of quality and service. We are backed by a set of Core Values that I feel differentiates us from the rest. You can feel comfortable hiring a company that cares as much about its employees as it does its clients.
