Holliston Master Bath Renovation

One of our favorite client couples came back to us for their master bath renovation. It is a good-sized space and they were looking for a complete update hoping to achieve a restful, spa-like atmosphere. The bathroom features a long double vanity, tub and shower. We were able to eliminate the existing tiled tub deck and drop-in tub in favor of a beautiful free-standing tub and tub-filler.

The result gives the impression of even more space in the bathroom and the over-sized tub is perfect for relaxing after a long day! In addition, we replaced the existing eight-foot long double vanity with a beautiful new Masterbrand cherry vanity in a “Black Forest” finish which is a rich, chocolate brown with black glazes to enhance the detail of the doors and drawers.

LONG MASTERBRAND VANITY AND MATCHING MIRRORS

The matching custom mirrors balance the color and tone and the gorgeous Sienna Bordeaux granite countertop and accent pieces adds polished luxury to the overall effect while the colors veining through the stone blend with the vanity, tile and fixtures. The new tile is pale tan glazed porcelain with a limestone look and feel. We used various sizes and configurations including a subtle outline of small-scale matching tiles turned on the diagonal to outline a border in the floor around the tub as well as the shower floor.

SHOWER BORDER AND DECORATIVE TILE

The continuation of the same tile in different sizes throughout the space adds to the clean, spa-like serenity of this bathroom. A neutral glass mosaic decorative accent tile was added as a border around the shower and as the backsplash at the vanity. The shower also feels much larger: we removed the original fiberglass shower insert and applied the same tile in yet another size to the walls from floor to ceiling keeping the veining moving in a vertical direction, adding style and visual height to the shower space. The use of the frameless glass entry further adds to the spacious and open feel of the shower (that was previously lacking). With the addition of coordinating custom roman shades, original wall art, new shiny fixtures and accessories along with new crisp tan and white towels, the new bathroom retreat is absolutely beautiful!
